Feb 2011

The winter of 2010/2011 has us all very thankful for the weather we enjoy here in Southern Ca. as our East Coast friends are suffering a terrible winter!
Despite the rains of December, which have us WAY ahead in our annual rainfall this year, the coming 2 year olds are coming along well. The now three year olds are getting more confident every day with their saddle work and should be ready for some spring shows.
Our assistant, Erica Santa, runs the lesson program here at GRS and she got to take 2 of her students to their first show this past weekend!  'Promise the Perfect' took Maria and Valerie to their first academy show with success and lots of fun. We look forward to seeing these 2 progress and more coming along. Erica has alot to be proud of in her work!
With breeding season fast approaching, we are proudly standing 3 stallions to the public (SYP High Definition, Lucky As Me, and Ultra's Private Eye). We find ourselves again missing our friend MLF Sharper Image, owned by Craig and Jennifer Sommers, as we have stood him at stud and enjoyed the fruits of that for some time now. "Sharpy" passed away suddenly this winter.
The first weekend in February is a busy one as Gerry and Erica will be helping Jenni at Equine Affair and I will be in Scottsdale giving a clinic. The clinic sounds like it's set to be a great time and Equine Affair is something we always support in an effort to get the Morgans in the public eye. After that, it's full steam ahead to Carousel and the start of our show season!
We currently have a great sales list that includes everything from mares in foal to SYP High Definition to young horses just starting to Oklahoma winners ready to take a new owner to the winners circle. Stop by the sales page and check them out and feel free to e-mail or call GRS with any questions!
we hope you are all having a safe and happy winter!
 Stacy
